Eat Here

Grand Junction’s come a long way since my first visit for
Colorado Mountain Winefest, most notably when you’re hungry. Exhibit 1: Fresh and Roasted Beet Salad from my favorite Western Slope restaurant, Bin 707 Foodbar, located in downtown Grand Junction.

Red and golden beets roasted to a subtle sweetness sit atop bitter frisée
(curly endive), accompanied by paper-thin sliced raw ciogga beets, locally
sourced greens, roasted black quinoa (for a little smoky crunch), and a drizzle of preserved orange vinaigrette.

707 serves big city food and cocktails in a friendly, familiar atmosphere. If you find yourself motoring west, go there. They’re worth the trip.
