Green Beans

Presenting the other green bean! Whole mung beans, also known as moong dal or green gram, are popular throughout India, Pakistan, and Korea (where they’re made into pancakes). They have a mildly earthy flavor with a hint of sweetness, and are easy to digest. This is a fairly typical Northen India-style preparation that when paired with basmati rice and a vegetable curry make a very filling and healthy meal.
